When?
Saturday 11th May 2019.
Doors open at 11am for the Round 1 draw at 11.45am. We finish by 6pm.

Where?
Christian Street Community Centre – about 10 minutes walk from Aldgate East or Whitechapel tube stations, 5 minutes from Shadwell DLR/Overground station, or walkable from Liverpool Street.

Format
Everyone plays three rounds at tables of three – you play two matches and host the third, using a set of the Countdown board game. By the end of the day, you’ll’ve played six games. We take a check on the standings at the end of Round 1 (number of wins then points scored), then everyone is regrouped according to their performance. We do the same again after Round 2. At the end of Round 3, the top two players go forward to play a Grand Final exhibition match to decide the overall winner for the day.

How much?
Just £10 per person! You can secure your place now with Jen using PayPal. If you don’t have PayPal, a bank transfer can be arranged. If you intend to pay on the day then please let Jeff know in advance.

The event is not-for-profit. The fee pays for venue hire, trophies, prizes and other sundries.

Lunch?
Food isn’t included, but the venue may organise a pop-up café on site to sell sandwiches, drinks and snacks. Failing that, there is a selection of shops and outlets nearby, and you are welcome to bring your own food and drink onto the premises.

Transport links
Look out for special weekend rates on trains and coaches into London on National Rail, National Express coaches or megabus.com.
The venue is close to the rail and tube networks – have a look at TfL’s website for route and fare details – but please allow sufficient time in your journey to get across London.
